I think some readers are misunderstand Genma the tsundure. he just has a hard time showing his feelings because everyone judges him for his DOM self.
if you think about rikkichi HE was a REALLY BAD MAN. i still think waki is still far worse then genma if you remember what waki and rikkichi saw in eachother.
