I kind of understand him from experience. When you think you did something terrible to someone else it makes you feel kind of paranoid about it happening again. Even if you barely knew them, you can't help but feel guilty. So instead of saying what's on your mind, you just try to be as nice as you can because you don't want to hurt someone's feelings again. Yes, he didn't know her but you don't have to be friends with someone to care.

I mean yeah I get that he has walls because of it but it's just I don't understand how that affects his behaviour of how he's leading the uke on and not reciprocating his feelings :/
Yeah that I don't understand. I understand him being nice even when he doesn't like them but I don't get why he's acting that way with the uke (〜￣△￣)〜
Same kinda. Like it’s obvi he has feelings for the uke, but like why is this stopping him? Maybe they’ll explain it in the next chap?
