In another words he thinks it's a lost in translation case when king of zhenbei says sex for show .... he meant it it was real sex as a show to anger shenyu , not a fake moaning or fake sex behind closed door which shenyu misunderstood as real sex !!!!!!!!!! I don't know whether you're saying the right story or them.

Okay. I see what you mean and I recalled what Porridge's mentioned. As I mentioned, I read those section only once but I remembered it was said that Zhenbei spent every night with Honglian. I have to admit, when I read that I was convinced that he had physical relationship with him too. The part about Honglian's performance was a bit later and it was a conversation between them that Shen Yu overheard. At that time when I was reading it, I thought they were at it too.
However, when I said it was said in the novel, Zhenbei hasn't been with anyone since Shen Yu, it was during his redemption period, further down in the novel, I think the readers are supposed to think all of those are fake. (or that's that's my take and i think the author back peddle a bit. It's a bit for interpretation). It never explicitly said he was acting with Honglian.
Thought I am not used to reading simplified Chinese, I read the raw version. I not really inclined to read the sections when it was hard for Shen Yu, so you'll noticed that I said that I am going by memory.
I don't know if this helps you, but I noticed in the official raw manga, ch 35 (the chapter where Shen Yu over hears Zhen Bei and Honglian were talking about Shen Yu) is available thought some of the chapters before and after isn't. https://www.kuaikanmanhua.com/web/comic/310877/ There is a panel that shows Zhen Bei being awared that Shen Yu is outside.
As expected, they didn't include any explicit parts, so you might not get your answer. I think this is one of those questions that it will be helpful to ask the author to clarify.
I found that line that I was looking for. It was in chp.127 in case you are wondering. It's the part where JXX was going to marry someone else to get Shen Yu's attention, after JXX defeated the emperor.

Here is the translation (yes, I used google, lazy from typing, but it's pretty close): "Jun Xuanxiao tugged at his robes irritably. Since he has Shen Yu, he has never been with anyone, even if it is Honglian, he always plays with him, but why doesn't Shen Yu understand his intentions? In the alcohol, gradually frustrated."
The part about 'playing with Honglian' can be open to interruption I guess. After reading that line, I got the impression that JXX and Honglian were faking it.
Thank you so much so much . PORRIDGE also translated chapter 127 as he tugged at his robe, since shenyu he hasn't touched anyone, even honglian who accompanies him for the show. But it's confusing if he was with honglian why he says he hasn't touched anyone?
PORRIDGE says in chapter 74+
"A lot of the servants and eunuchs even song qing knew the king had a new male favorite bec they were doing it every night in the kings chamber." Here shejyu didn't know about honglian...this was a show too?

This is just my opinion as it never really explicitly stated if Shen Yu knew or not. I think Honglian was introduced around chp74, I mentioned that even I took that they were really doing it when I read that part of the story. Lines like even the servants knew gave you that impression. It is possible the Shen Yu knew too, but that he was probably more concern about JXX's feeling for him. After reading later on in the story, that line in chp 127 gave me the feeling that the author wants to do reverse that by saying they were faking it.
He did say that but he knew Shen Yu was outside, so he could have said that to anger SHen Yu.
If the author didn't put lines like in chp127, I probably believed JXX and Honglian did it. Personally, because those lines, it changed my perception of what was real or fake. I probably put more emphasis on that as I do focus more on the later part of the story. It is ambiguous enough that everyone might interrupt it differently (like Porridge and I) and draw their own conclusion.

I supposed if you believe that they could be faking it, they could act once purposely around a servant and allow them to gossip among themselves. They did that when Shen Yu moved out of his mansion. I think it is up to the readers to fill in the blanks based on what they think.
Well if the Chinese translation is accurate and it says : ""king didn't touched anyone after shenyu and honglian only accompanied him for show/play" then I think author really was trying to redeem king ...but it's like he changed his mind about king's character and suddenly wanted to redeem him regardless of the fact that king was acting like shit 126 chapters ago.
I feel the same way, maybe the intention was there by the author, but the execution missed a bit. It was one extreme to another and it felt a bit like the 'It's all a dream trope'. I mean what you thought was true for a long time wasn't the case.
But in any case, I supposed some of us like an redemption story so when I was reading it, I was curious to see what he did to make up for Shen Yu in the second half of the story, and there were a lot to make up for.

Porridge said ch 127 doesn't mean they didn't do it , it meant it was only to drive shenyu out...but assuming the Chinese translation is right , ch 127 clearly says he never touched or been with anyone after shenyu ...honglian was for show or play

I am not sure why Porridge interpret that line as they did. I took that line directly from the source, so I am taking the literally meaning from it.
Well, I can understand why you hate JXX, he did pretty awful things in the beginning. To me whether he slept with Honglian isn't worst thing. For me, I don't hate him because he also had to go through a lot in the second half of the story. Both him and Shen Yu had personally growth and at the end of the day, whether there were love rivals or other interfere, they really do love each other. In the story, JXX asked Shen Yu if he hates him, Shen Yu said he does, but it does not 1/1000 of the love he has for him(JXX). So, if Shen Yu forgives him, I do too.
But shenyu for me is a Stockholm syndrome...he feel affection for his cruel guy who captivates him.
And if king slept with honglian, for me is worst cause king himself beat and punished shenyu for cheating (where in fact shenyu was innocent and had nothing to do with emperor) if king dislikes cheating so much why he himself commit it...he's a hypocrite who doesn't view shenyu as an equal .
But if you say the Chinese translation is correct then I guess he really didn't touch honglian
Shen Yu's feeling toward JXX gets flushed out later. He realized that he has feeling for him, but he was a lot afraid of him the whole time. He realized that after he left JXX, he came to recognize the good and bad sides of JXX and accept him who he is. That was part of Shen Yu's maturity as well.
You have a point about JXX's treatment to Shen Yu when he accused him for being with the emperor. From his point of view because of his status, he isn't being a hypocrite for sleeping with others, but it's not okay for Shen Yu (who belongs to him) go to someone. The norm at in historical can't be compared to modern view point, like it was normal to have multiple wives. That said, he knew the whole time that Shen Yu was innocent but this was one of the acts that he did to drive Shen Yu to the emperor (supposedly). To me, that was crueler, but again, I think it's partly the author trying to make thing more dramatic.
But going to back what I said that JXX felt that it's normal to be more superior, later on in the story, he threw away his emperor status (temporarily) to chase after Shen Yu and prepare to be a guard for him. He protected and acted like a servant for Shen Yu. For the emperor of a kingdom to do that, it showed how he valued Shen Yu later on.
Hmm yeah I want to believe in his development but I must first find out whether he was with honglian or was it a show ....with you're explanation, it was a fake act but it's still so ambiguous that it fails to redeem king in my eyes. Thank you so much for answering
ok so...i did end up reading ahead and skipped over 90 useless chapters (or i think so myself haha), spoilers (not really? ch 200+ spoilers)
alright lets get some things said here, yes, the jxx DID sleep with Honglian the prostitute, no I don't know how many times, I believe Shen Yu is no longer mute also! Their relationship does get better when Jun Xuanxiao is on the verge of death though, found that p sad since Shen Yu deserves way better! Like everyone else is saying, Shen yu does become pregnant in the end, the end of the novel, chapter 241 is more Song Qing centric. Seems he ends up with Honglian or this Lian'er, I have not read where this "Lian'er" shows up though so I cannot say if they're the same person or not. The third extra after the novel's final chapter is very cute though, JXX acting like a concern father for their unborn child, still doesn't really make up for his behavior but you get me. I don't know what happens to Dai Rou, but I believe JXX doesn't have a harem anymore and it's just Shen Yu.
