So I am trying to find this story about this princess that remembers reading a story in her passed life that she became the villainess of. I remember there is a hostage prince that became her knight, and if she sends him back to his country he will die. Which happened in the original story, so when MC remembers she is in the middle of a tantrum or something the emperor? About to punish the hostage prince is stopped by the MC and states it's her fault. The hostage prince is bewildered by this, but still doesn't trust her.
I also remember that the mc's father dotes on her because he doesnt allow the older illegitimate princess to get near her. The illegitimate princess being the heroine in the story that the MC read.
I think that the nobles do not like the MC because she was born without magic,
her father.
The emperor tells the exiled prince not to let the MC see the illegitimate princess. And that the emperor got mad because the illegitimate princess got "lost"
