It’s somewhat consistent with what we’ve seen so far. Yukino texts like a girl to keep girls he met online uninterested in him and we’ve alr witnessed two instances where a girl leaves her boyfriend for him. His mood quickly shifted when the girl in the recent chapter asked him out. He looked tired and disappointed. So it’s clear that it happens quite often that people mistake his kindness as something more. Then when he got into a fight with that one guy he was anxious abt what Arata thought of him. Like he acted as though Arata should hate him after seeing what happened. So like... I genuinely think that it’s a vry likely theory
Told y’all this happened to him a lot. Makes sense why he’s cautious abt pple and relationships :/ Pple are always wanting more from him :< My bet is that Yukino went out with someone who fell in love with his kindness before and it ended badly because he couldn’t keep up the image of being perfect. The cycle continues where people fall for him simply bc he was nice to them and they leave him after realising he wasn’t perfect. Eventually he just got tired of dealing with all thag so he built his walls up. It’s alr clear that he like Arata, but he’s been holding himself back :(
