I wish I could give you a like, its so true how people think pushing their ideals onto someone else will just magically give that person happiness. In the case of the manga, someone will probably try to justify it with "she is the daughter of a nobel family so its to be expected". But thats not the case at all. Yes shes a daughter of a nobel family but she is the last born! and her two older sisters are married to high ranking nobels + brother is rtying to be the second princes ade. So in logic the family would have no expectations of her and no need for her to marry somoen in power.
Also.. its made obvous that the older sisters treat her like a doll they can dress up. Forcing her to wear the cloths of their chosing and makeup of their choice, making her seem "perfect" even when she donst like it.
And the older brother is using the fake immage of her to gain favor and the job of his dreams.
In short, they dont give a rats ass about her feelings or wishes or dreams. They are all just using her for their own goal's and she is expected to just shut up ignore her feelings and go with what they say all because "they know betterm and they know what will make her happy".
i agree, this is in the noblewoman age where you have to marry in order to be considered a part of society. her siblings are just trying to help her, but she just gives them the silent treatment LMAO
if this was the modern age, it would make sense how she reacted (kind of), since women nowadays are independent, not dependent on men, and don't need engagement/marriage to be a person. but in the historical context, i think her siblings were completely correct.
so what you're saying is that since everyone else marries into a high ranking family, she'll have no expectations? whew girl you must not have older sibling or something, if your older siblings all accomplish something, you gots to as well or else you are seen as inferior.
In the world of the manga, Its normal for the family of nobels to strive for their children to marry better. But in her case its stated she isnt as prety as her sisters, she is a bookworm and nowhere has her parents been mentioned onece. Only that her sisters want her to bee like them and love dressing her up and pusing her up the social lader and that her brother wnats her to marry the guy he wants to be his boss.. so it makes sens that the parents have no expectations for her as her sisters hit the jackpot and there for are letting her do as she likes, and yet the sisters and brother are all trying to pust their own agenda one her.
Arnt they the selfish ones? They want her to be like them and the brother only wants her to marry so he can get the job of his dreams , yet they all know she has no intrest in any of this and that the parents have let her be?
It believe not for his sake but for the prince sake because he likes her and from the cover it shows the prince in the back stretching his hand trying to get close to her so it probably he likes her and forced the brother to listen to his will and make his sister to become something perfect and marry the prince.

this is just a selfish act. Her sibkings are being kind to spend their times giving her advice for the sake of her well being. Tbh, having siblings that care about you is much better than having siblings that ignore your existence. (〜￣△￣)〜
