I hate to break it to you but it wasn’t a one time thing. Junta raped takato again in the Spain arc. He tied him to the bed when takato was shouting No. you can tell he wasn’t enjoying it. Honestly reading that chapter was traumatic.

Yeah. In the extras following the Spain arc, takato is drunk, junta asks him if they can have sex, takato says NO he just wants to sleep and junta doesn’t listen and rapes him. The extras following the Spain arc show how junta is constantly assaulting takato. Junta dressed up like a stalker and molests takato in front of his apartment to show what could happen to him. Of course this frightens takato. The imagery in that extra in frightening.
I do think that most of his “no’s” are him practically saying yes though. His personality is like that just as it shows in the most recent chapters. He wants junta to continue but can’t help but say no.
Of course it doesn’t justify the first rape but I do think he still agreed to have sex for a second time during the first chapter. Sometimes I wish rape didn’t exist in these so we wouldn’t have to have such heated discussions X(

The thing that wasn't explained really good in anime, and you will see it here later is this - they knew each other 1 year before the rape takes place. When they first met they are attracted to each other but while Chunta realises what he feels is love, Takato tinks that himself is just jealous of Chunta. The author puts a note telling that she wanted to show how close they are from the start. I'm not saying for even a second that rape it's ok. But you must keep in mind their first meeting, and the fact that later Takato himself tells Junta "don't ask me or I'll say no", because he knows he is too embarassed and prideful to simply agree. This makes it at least a little better as a whole.
Also, the reply that said that Junta raped Takato in spain is wrong. Junta indeed stopped Takato from leaving, but when they started undressing, Takato said he felt the urge to hold Junta. I'm pretty sure a victim doesn't want to have sex with the rapist. And yes, he did change. In latest chapters Takato is angry at Junta because as soon as Junta hears "no" or "stop" he stops. And Takato can't help but say those things in the act so he's frustrated they can't do it because Junta keeps stopping.
A character lives and operates in its own world and doesn't necessarily have to be a reflection of the society. Yes dubious consent/no consent tropes exists and quite popularly so in a lot of manga/manhwas.
It's just that ur comment saying 'so nobody is going to talk about..' made me chuckle bcz ppl have talked about it, ppl are still talking about it and don't worry ppl will keep talking about it.
It's just that sometimes readers don't look for a moral high ground in fiction. Doesn't necessarily mean they condone anything that is considered wrong in the real world.

No no pls don't take my words as something mean. Your feelings are absolutely valid. There's no argument here at all that ppl can get uncomfortable with certain storylines and it's absolutely fine. I am not going to defend any character here or even claim their redemption. I just wanted to ease out ur worries that ppl at large don't agree with such tropes in real life.
