shoujo refers to a genre that target mainly girl (ranging from teen to young adult)
while shoujo ai, being roughly translated as “girl love”- a genre that depicts girlxgirl relationship, and a bit lighter, having little to no smexy scenes compares to yuri
the one you mentioned often calls hetero romance
