I thought the same thing..the reason he went to Paris was lame..it sounded like a lie...he knew his wife had a problem with his job she was jealous. .she was jealous so he met with his ex...he does not make any sense
There are some people who can only feel loved by how jealous the person gets.
The following kinda contains spoilers, but its in an attempt to answer the previous questions.
It seems to me that he is a person who wants to be worthy of his wife but he also cares a lot about being cool, he mentions having to be uncool twice. it would seem that he became a model and keeps doing it and also went to paris to impress Hana and make her fall more in love with him, but it is a kind of double edged sword in that the more attractive and impressive he becomes for Hana the more other women are falling for him and this causes her to become insecure.
He also refused the job in Paris to stay with Hana and he didnt seek out his ex, she came to the school to him. It wasnt untill Hana wanted to break up that he went to Paris and he claims that he did so to become cooler in an attempt to kind of balance out how uncool he had to be when he confessed to her, because he essentually says that everything he has done in his life he has done for/because of Hana, to see her reactons.
Can someone tell me the reason why he went to paris? I dont get it. If he really loved his wife he would quit his job as model and wouldn't meet his ex and go to paris. But thats only my opinion.
