No.6 is amazing. (It's action & Sci-fi) There is a female character in the anime/manga/novel. She's a supporting character though.
Full Metal Alechmist Brotherhood is another good one! (Action)
Hunter x Hunter 2011 Version (Action)
Angel Beats! is action packed with a school setting. There are female characters; they have great personalities that will not annoy you.
Natsume Yuujinchou really good. (Supernatural)

Black Rock Shooter has only girls(and I'm also a yaoi fan) but it's good,with a lot of action and the girls are strong, without big boobs (⌒▽⌒)
Tiger & Bunny is also good, if you haven't seen it yet. It has a cool plot twist and you might end up shipping Kotetsu and Barnaby
Vassalord is shounen-ai and the action is awesome!! Though the manga is a real masterpiece
Noragami is really interesting and sometimes really cute and funny (≧∀≦)
Shaman King is an old one, but it's my favourite, though you might have seen it already
Kyoukai no Kanata is one of the best.It'so heart-warming that I cried at the end. And don't worry! The end is a happy one
K-project is also really cool and interesting and the characters are hooooot
Soul Eater is amazing and it has 2 seasons and a lot of action scenes

Hi I feel ya with i don't want the annoying kind of girl animes! That's literally me. I also like action, sci fi, and boys' "friendship" (or more ahaha) so I have few I can recommend!

- 07- Ghost
- Karneval (there are females, but I don't think any of the annoying ones are the lead)
- No. 6
- Dramatical Murder (ok, this anime originated from BL/yaoi game, so there are BL hints...there's one kiss scene...but everything else is ok. There's one female and she's a granny lol)
-Amatsuki (I don't like the main female lead...but i like rest of all the guys that appear :) )
-Pandora Hearts (tbh Alice, a female lead, is quite annoying but I like every one else including females)
