In Japan there is a particular movement around "megane," or glasses that has such an obsessive following that, just like westerners might say "A girl's selling point has to be her eyes." or "It has to be the lips!", people with megane fetish would say, "they have to have glasses." My first guess would be that Maya has a particular nerd kink and he likes to defile the bookworms, but more specifically he really like the whole "megane" fantasy and is definitely an unapologetic member of the movement.
