I completely agree with you. It ain't like that she's being overprotective but just doing her business as an elder sister and guardian. I'm glad that the sister isn't completely chill about this like, "Heh, my brother is missing, nvm. He'll come back" and there is that also reason why she will listen to that school nurse because he is an adult and teacher of those two students.
