Why is it so hard to understand that people with severe trauma can become violent and abusive? Especially if they never received any kind of help and are used to suppress their emotions.
It seems that some people want Seungho to be inherently bad.
There's nothing wrong with being sympathetic towards a character.

Sigh. It's ok but MAJORITY of yaoi follows the same trope. It's starting to get rather repetitive for some of us I guess.

Seme does horrible, horrible, unforgivable things. Then author throws at readers sad backstories and it makes things magically ok.

Yes I want Seungho to be bad. You know why? Because that's what made the story interesting. Now he is like all the rest. Just some crazy guy with a tragic past that magically changed through the power of looove. That's supposed to erase every bad thing he did? NK can just forgive and forget all that cause "handsome noble likes me uwu" But it's just how the story is gonna be. Nothing anyone can do about it. Still disappointed. I mean, I respected the direction and subtle development Seungho was having. Then they made him so bad again and now BAm tragic past arc to justify the bad thing he had just done seconds before. I could have done without that "woe is me" bs. It just feels like a cheap trick to give NK a reason to soften up to the idea of loving SH back faster. Before it was clear NK was very taken aback by the idea of SH liking him. Now suddenly he is acting flattered by the thought? Make it make sense.

Like I feel so uncomfortable that Nakyum literally has still bruises on his body, he was nearly gangraped seconds ago and Yoon stopped it because of his jealousy and possessiveness... And BAM we get just in next chapter sick Seungho and his sad backstory, suicidal thoughts and NK being nearly uwu and blushing.

It's "ok," but it isn't fair to the people being affected by their behavior. But hey I am one of the people who actually like this story, just wanted to clarify with this comment.

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU!!! How can having a tragic/ traumatic past give you a pass that it's okay to do shit to others and that will suddenly make everything okay and justify every freaking bs you did.

IKR!!! Like they didn't even give NK the time to internalise what almost happened to him and just suddenly decided to give the spotlight to SH just so he becomes the poor guy with a tragic past so everything he did is okay, like come on????

seriously tho. i think no one is saying that everything is okay and seungho is forgiven with everything hes done to nakyum. just because nakyum blushed doesnt mean he's okay w/ everything already. i mean, we are yet to see what would actually happen next and yall are so quick to judge. (please also take not that this is historical and nakyum is a lowborn. the hierarchy really has a big influence on their attitude towards every little thing) and i know bd wont disappoint

Imo historical circumstances are kinda just another excuse to justify all of the abuse unfortunately....
Like now every yaoi author should start writting stories in the past or alternative universes to give free pass to ML's wrongdoings.

But forgetting about that for me the timing in the newest chapter was the worst. Just after Seungho did something awful to NK...just seconds after that we get his sad backstory and other elements which make us sympathise with him.

And some of us enjoy it, and want at stories we are able to enjoy as well. So should we stop getting content that makes US happy as well just because people like yoi find it repetitive?

What's the point of starting this discussion again?
No one said you can't enjoy that.
OP stated their comment after few people expressed their disappointment how the story turned out.
We just expressed that we hoped it's going to be something more refreshing but the story followed unfortunately (for us) the same trope. That's all.
