It's not that I refuse to read it, (I actually read quite a lot of the chapters, which I feel guilty about) but Painter of the Night is one of the many that I didn't want to continue cuz of the rape and all.

It makes me sad, that for characters that sexually assault others, that readers have to wait for character development (this what I have seen from comments like Painter of the Night and Yours to Claim). It's just that why can't BL have a character that doesn't sexually assault/harass the uke or seme but still improve themselves in other aspects. Like sexual assault and harassment isn't a character trait, it's an actual crime.

Same. Painter of the night is the only story i'm 100% sure I won't ever read. The only thing I can see in it is my baby's tears and how Seungho rapes him. I refuse to read it. I refuse to believe Seungho will have character development. And even if he does , it's not like you can actually forgive all the things he has done to Nakyum.People who forgive him deserve the same thing as him , pain.
In case you haven't , you should read Cherry Blossoms After Winter , Wolf In The House and The Tale Of The Yellow Dragon. They are absolute perfection. Wolf In The House and Tale Of The Yellow dragon are so beautiful and underrated. I never see people talk about them but they truly are perfection.
