I agree with other comments I've seen that the smut happened too fast. With fantasy stories, you need to set up the world and characters a bit more before you can jump into it - unlike with stories that take place irl where we can use our own knowledge as reference to fill in gaps. It seems like this story struggles a bit with introducing worldbuilding elements and developing characters and their relationships at the same time, but these are early chapters so we'll see how it goes.
King Alendis is Daddy tho.
Also, Vicar's "dirty talk" made me laugh out loud. Seal the bitch back up.
