So basically, (+my own prediction/theory)

I think we all have more or less the same theory, something along the lines of - homeboy has been rewinding time for centuries now - but hasn't been able to save FL from dying once.

That harsh side of his probably was there from before he met her for the first time, she softened him up (just for her, of course) but then went off and died for some reason.

ML rewinds time, hoping to fix stuff, she doesn't die in the same way - he celebrates a bit too early, and poof - she's gone again.

After countless failed attempts, he becomes even more harsh than before meeting FL - cruel even.

The latest attempt (what we're reading now) is possibly his last attempt at saving her - his power is probably drained a lot (as pointed out by him getting sick, and us being explicitly told that he's not supposed to even be able to get sick).

He still tries though - with the chandelier, and bomb - those have happened before, he's prepared for that.

And this is where I may diverge from the others - but here's my prediction anyway,

I think that, in this timeline - the one to off Lamia will be Uri. (I KNOW -- we love Uri, but hear me out)

I'm guessing something along the lines of Lamia slowly warming up to ML, Uri feeling betrayed - and even enraged, his big sister being with a man who has hurt him so much.

That feeling grows with time, and reaches a breaking point, probably from some shock - like ML & FL deciding to get married.

Uri attacks Lamia when she doesn't expect it in the slightest (with Uri, that's all the time - she would never imagine him doing that to her).

She lives, but is fatally wounded. On her deathbed, ML confesses to everything - the time rewinding, watching her die, despite trying to save her, even him considering this his last attempt - and promising to save her next time, even if he is destroyed from draining his power.

She stops him there - thanks him, apologizes, but tells him to stop. He shouldn't be messing with time - rewinding time will only delay the inevitable, and hurt ML. She asks him to live on, for her. And not to hate Uri too much, because he is her precious brother.
Then, she dies. For good this time.

"Lamia Orphe is dead".

I imagine epilogue would be ML meeting FL after passing away (from old age) - with a tiny bit of banter, like "You've kept me waiting." "Not as much as you, Lamia."

Anyway, that's not coming true, but it's fun to theorize & I got carried away.

That's a really good theory. Adds up why he has so many of lamia's name engrave on his back like woah to the point there's no space

i think his rage may come from killing the "little brother" ( in reality cousin )
and him feeling like she is just like everybody else, especially after getting with the ML
