Ohh excellent comment! My understanding is limited to English (thats not even my mother longue, so lol) so it's always a pleasure to know something about the original version.
But still, I like this english version because (in my opinion) it fits well with Seungho's character. When he says - "I don't have to share my heart" it feels like he knowledges he has feelings for Nakyum at that moment and I don't think this is true. I feel like the meaning of "I don't have to share my heart" is veery close to the idea of "sharing your mind" in the korean language, maybe it's an expression. It's not literal, such as in english when people say "you have to know this phrase by heart", they're not literally talking about their heart.
For me it doesn't make sense for Seungho to say that, he doesn't even knowledge Nakyum is special to him rn. hmmmm
I don't know but it seems that English speaking readers may be missing a lot with translation.
There is a scene in 53, that is when Seungho is walking outside when he was taunted by that snake fella ... he was supposed to get NK but seems more like he is lost in thoughts and he is remembering Nakyum's sleeping face. The English version says ' We are just naked bodies, there is no need for us to share what's in our minds'. It seems the original translation would be something like 'We are simply flesh. I do not have to share my heart with someone ..." what is way deeper in showing Seungho's long trained brain into avoiding affection. This is the chapter where we find that all those thoughts we saw in chapter 49 of someone rationalizing about only following their desire because that's what fits them... everybody thought was Nakyum but it was Seungho's instead.
It's a shame because we almost never get to see Seungho's thoughts in the story and when it happened, the chapter had a completely different tone because we thought it was Nakyum putting himself down again but it was meant to give an insight on Seungho's way of life and relationship and why he instinctively turns to rough sex whenever Nakyum tries intimacy and 'share his heart' with him. Then when we do get to know clearly that it's Seungho's thoughts, we lose a lot of depth because of the translation. Seungho setting himself up for a life of meaningless sex and lack of love ('I don't have to share my heart') is quite sad on his own way.
I wish we get to see a good translation of chapter 49 inner dialogue.
