I think most of us are kinda doubtful about Hide’s feelings because he fell for Ryusei out of nowhere.
Like he’s his first love’s little brother, he’s about the same age Issei was when Hide kissed him, so it all fits a bit too perfect for the “I’m using you as a replacement” cliché.
If it was another person, like not blood related to Issei it’d probably be alright. But the fact that Ryusei and Issei are brothers makes it difficult to think that Hide isn’t seeing him as a replacement.
Despite this, I kinda think that he actually loves him, after all, he found closure when he came out of the closet and confessed (in past tense) to Issei, and that was the push he needed to make his love for Ryusei canon instead of platonic.
It also felt rushed so that influences it as well.
