actually if u go to just about any omegaverse. they usually have a page in the beginning explaining all of this

omegaverse is a fictional world so the concepts may differ from story to story but generally:

there are six genders
1. Male Omega
2. Female Omega
3. Male Beta
4. Female Beta
5. Male Alpha
6. Male Alpha

Beta's are most people of the population, then Alphas, then Omegas. There is sort of an hierchy: Alpha's are generally looked at dominant prestigeous (superier) etc., then Beta's (normal), then Omegas are the most looked down on (inferior), because some people can see them as weak since they have heats.

Omegas (O) have something called 'heats' where they give out sweet smelling phermones (the alpha can smell it the strongest, beta's can sometimes smell it), at this time, they have a risk of getting pregnant (I think the most significant aspect of omegaverse is that men can get pregnant) and are quite weak (will lose strength, can be taken advantage of). This happens during 'mating season' or when they meet an Alpha with strong pheremones. If an Alpha bites them at this time, then they are marked, while they may still get heat, it would not be because of any other Alpha's pheremones.

Alphas (A) have ruts, where they lose control and basically the alpha version of a heat (basically they become really horny and most lose common sense). Happens when there is an omega with strong pheremones or a specfic period of time.

Beta's (B) are just normal people basically ^^

Sometimes, there are pills that omega's take to supress their heat or the smell. Also, sometimes, if their Alpha is away, omega's can build a sort of nest (a bunch of things that consists of the alpha's things: clothes, pillows, books, etc.)

Also, Omegas have the most danger of getting raped. and the Alpha has the most chance of being the rapist. Since there are factors I explained above ~ not that it justifies anything ヽ(`Д´)ﾉ

I am very bad at explaining things but this is how I understand ^^

aight so im honestly also kinda inexperienced myself but ive read a few omegaverse things so i thinkkk i get the gist of it. so i guess prepare yourself for a hopefully semi helpful mess of words

omega- minority, usually kinda meek and small. sometimes looked down on and only seen as sex objects. typically are submissive, especially near their alphas. go into heat every few months where essentially they kinda just get super horny and really wanna do it with any alpha they may see. they could also be feverish, out of breath, weak, and kinda just loopy. they can also get preggers during their heat (even if theyre male). there are suppresors and medicines and stuff to help control these symptoms during heat tho. its usually common for omegas to be raped when they go into heat by horny alphas, but while it may happen a lot, this is definitely a bad thing (does provide for good storytelling thou)

alpha- also a minority, but are strong and confident. usually looked up to and are in powerful jobs and positions. typically dominant, and possesive (especially towards their omegas). go into a rut every few months where they get horny and wanna do it with any omegas near them. (in both ruts and heats the person usually reverts back to their primal instincts, ie either submissiveness or dominance). have medicine to help control rut symptoms

beta- majority, not really special, quite average. doesnt mean they cant be succesful or unsuccessful tho. dont have ruts or heats. pretty much just like a normal person

fated mates- alpha + omega pairing. alpha bites (marks) omega, usually on the nape of their neck, to claim them as their own. after this omegas can only do the deed with their alpha mate, and alphas take on the responsibility to take care of their omega mate

i feel like the ranking goes: alpha, beta, omega.
alphas are portrayed as the leader types and the ones dominating the top positions in the world. alphas make up probably about roughly 5% of world population (differs according to the manga)
alphas have like pheromones and shit which kinda i think contribute to their leaderness.
betas is like the normal people. they don't have anything like pheromones and they make up like maybe 90% of population.
omegas are bottom rank cus people think of them like breeding machines because both male and female can give birth. they make 5%
