Being in a BDSM relationship, you just dont come up with the rules right on the spot during the play. Unlike the seme in the story you mentioned, the seme in Aporia made a separate appointment to discuss about all these things at the cafe and even documented their meeting. The seme properly executes their play without abusing his role as the dominant one. He also gives importance to safe words and always limits himself according to what he and his partner came into terms in the contract.

What you just narrated above is not about the story being unhealthy but rather angsty. A story with angst does not automatically make the story unhealthy. Why? Because their relationship towards one another was not violated emotionally, physically, nor sexually.

That being said, although Aporia does not have a light-hearted storyline, it is a healhy and a properly portrayed BDSM.
