since theres magic to turn back time there might be magic to steal abilities? maybe she tricked the spirit? or what cosette summoned wasn't the beatrice but something pretending to be the beatrice? I mean the world after keira died had presumably gone to ruin from her fathers dream(? it seems like it has to do with that timeline). So it wouldn't be weird if it was the second option or the first one if the spirit wasn't supposed to be w cosette leading to ruin.idk
