Um...what?!

So...why didn't they just tell her he was a piece of shit? Wouldn't that have solved everything? And why did she get so close to him so quickly, you would have thought she'd be even a little weary of strangers...

For your first question, yeah I honestly don't know why they didn't just tell her. As for your second question, it's already established that in her previous timeline she wasn't very social (didn't know how to ig) and probably had no prior exposure to romance. But in this one, she's just learning social skills and the only knowledge about love she has is from a book. Well then of course she's a bit naïve, she doesn't know any better after all.

I think they wanted her to experience it personally, that she’ll be able to judge someone’s character and not their face. Then she could make better relationships :>

I mean I'm all for opening up yourself and trying to learn social interactions but...a stranger...who you met in a casino? Idk...I think it would be normal if it was tea party or a banquet but that radiates sus. You shouldn't be completely closed off but you can't leave the door wide open either...

Ah ok...I guess that makes more sense, as long as this is the only time she wholeheartedly trusts a total stranger no questions asked, this should be a good learning experience.
