Are you telling me that she is ugly???!!!!Σ( ￣□￣||)

I have never understoood why they call the female lead ugly when she only has an odd mark on her face.
Like another webtoon where (I think) she was poisoned in the womb and was born with a red mark next to her left eye. To me she was still beautiful and that mark looked like flowers, but they all called her ugly.
And same here where she has that small red dot on her forehead and they call that ugly.

Its cause they believe its bad luck.

Still don’t get it. First off, how is a mark in your face concidered unlucky? And how is that unlucky/bad luck = ugly?
