Psyche was imprisoned by her love to the prince, she loved him so much she could betray medea and still loved the prince even after he tried to kill her, it's really unhealthy, and i agree with you that psyche got lucky because the prince kissed her in medea's body, if the prince never did that, i'm sure she won't ever wake up from her delusional love
