Actual since you didn’t read it if you don’t get it either. The uke DOES give consent. There is a scene very early on where the uke basically says if it was anyone other than you/or if I didn’t like it completely, you’d be dead already. This being very on in the manga already, if you continue to go further into the manga there are MANY situations where the seme says or does things like, “you pick what we do” “you pick the room” “you plz kiss me(whatver action)” “can you plz do “this”, but if you don’t want to be can stop now” and many occasions where the uke instigates sex in a very beating around the bush way, as well as jerks off to the seme(which I doubt someone who doesn’t like someone will do). If you read the manga you would know the uke already HATED GAYS thus led to prejudice that wasn’t fair to heterosexuals and doesn’t want to expect his feelings or emotions so he tends to be aggressive and acts tough. Thus he wouldn’t have done/consented to any of the actions above that the seme asked of him to do/try, and he even asked the seme to LIVE with him and I doubt someone who did not consent to the idea of knowing they will have sex with them will ask them to be with them. They are all subtle forms that show the uke does care and like the seme but has so much prejudice towards gays, and acting tough and not accepting his feelings that he says he doesnt want it
woah- thats a lot man. Um this was my observation from probably hmm volume 7?? Ive finshed all thats there rn and I have more of a perspective. Yeah he does technically get consent but its still makes me a little squeamish. I think maybe past volume ...9? or when ML first kissed morgiana I didnt feel squeamish anymore. Also Im entitled to my own opinion and review. Yaoi is often borderline in stuff like consent so of course im leaving a review about how I didnt like that aspect. Yeah I understand now that Morginana did get consent a lot of the time but IDK THE FIRST VOLUMES OF IT MADE ME UNCOMFORTABLE. .. also morgiana is just kinda annoying in the way that hes literally always putting himself down like- sorry but irl that hits home.
Lol I’m not blaming you for not reading it I just wanna let you know that you shouldn’t be so squeamish towards the manga as it really does develop. The manga isn’t up to date as well believe it or not so it seems even slower, and extras aren’t updated in order so it may seem like their relationship goes backwards somtimes. But it’s just bad translating timing. And most of the volumes I’m talking about besides very early on volumes 6-current. You may have missed it in early on since it can be hard to notice things when the manga doesn’t really click with you. There’s a lot of complexity between the characters and I bet if you can relate to a character or even despise a certain type of person you can be drawn away from it or even feel to close to it to like. (￣∇￣") I’ve had that before. But I’m glad you didn’t like absolutely dis the manga like most people do cuz they just salty for no reason (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
i really like this manga, the first rape scene was super hard to sit through so I basically skipped it all. Second Morginana NEVER asks for consent from at least what ive seen maybe once or twice but not really. This manga leaves a bad aftertaste in my mouth. Im in love with the ML(not romantically like his character) but the MC really is a scumbag- I really dont get people like him.
