But we only see the woman's back tho ? Would make sense it would be the mom since she plagued his thoughts all the time . Also did the author say it was the police guy who ran Bum over ? Cuz we see him speeding but how do we know for sure he ran him over.

Well viewers just had to make an educated guess because he was speeding to go pick up Bum so he would be going in his direction, so it would make sense that he ran into him on the way.
