EDIT: the symbolism idea isn’t relevant I hadn’t read the last 2 chapters when I made this comment but I’d really like a story with this theme
I’ll be much much happier if this story is an actual symbolism of the relationship between humans and god in religious sense not some random dude having god complex. I always disliked the idea that some random dude who has less personality than a toast with no interests and not even that pretty gets so much attention specially to the point people literally throw all their pride for him, specially considering the fact that those people have been raised the same way and they’re too selfish and most likely are harder to literally beg to suck someone’s dick. It just doesn’t make any sense. Other than that the main character, doesn’t really have any characteristics or talents that spark “this guy has one of the rarest possible scholarships” about him. He even has less personality than the gary sue. He’s stupidly naive. This guy has an impossible scholarship, and you’re telling me he actually thinks people randomly kiss each other in foreign countries? How is everyone else in this god damn school not weirded out by some random boring guy kissing another boring guy he barely knows at all now and then? (Not because they’re both guys of course) How is everyone here so dumb? Do rich people have no common sense? Do they actually come from 18th century? Do rich people not give birth to girls?
I’m gonna be disappointed if this story isn’t a symbolism because that’s the only way everything makes sense and I actually think this might be where this story is going because the manga is self-aware at least.
