The manga is about two girls. One girl is cool looking, has long dark straight hair, and is human. The other girl is a magician/wizard girl who came down to the human world for some sort of exam. She is cuter and more kiddy, with light colored hair. There is a satisfying romantic sub plot, a lot of magic shenanigans, they become best friends, and I think I was made into an anime as well.
A specific scene I remember is when the girls are chasing an invisible beast in the school hallway, and the school nurse stops them to lecture them on their diet, because the sound of them running was very loud and heavy because of the invisible beast running. (So she thought they were fat)
