Did you even try reading this or did you just see the cover and came just to bitch about? Because if you had you would have known that Black Eagle aka the brown person is the slave owner...
Honestly your life must be pretty sad to have nothing better to do than bitch about manga you haven't even bothered skimming...
^I second this. Honestly if you actually went past to seeing JUST skin color, you would've known that this manga is actually more than just stereotypes and cliche slavery tropes. The brown MC is actually just a slave trader in name only, he's more of a village chief who will do anything to protect his people, and his people, the ""slaves"" are like family who loves him. White guy is a northern ex-royal hiding out in the south and was hired to "tame" brown MC. And the slaves had all sorts of different 'nationalities' too, it wasn't just brown people. Honestly you making it all about skin color and judging it all from the first 2 pages, is pretty racist and such fake savior mentality. And this is coming from a brown person who's country was also enslaved years back
It's the brown character as a slave and slave master for me. Like, if your feel ABSOLUTELY COMPELLED to make a slave story, do us all a favor and don't make them brown??
And it's so weird that his slaves wanted to stay with him. He didn't "offer them an opportunity" he sold and bought them.
I'm pass the whole "oh I got raped, but I love him!" BS BL stories seem to want to hold on to even though to this day it frustrates me, but slavery is something Japanese authors need to uhh... be a little wiser about writing considering the country's history...
