YAASSS HUN POP OFF. I was sitting here thinking the same thing. I am in college too, I still have a grudge on that one time someone took my udon out my fridge without asking (damn you kathy!), so how you expect 19 year-olds who died so early and then were born into a life of abuse to forgive the person that put them in this situation?
All these people getting irritated with the twins. Ya'll are forgetting that they died when they're still in highschool right? Basically most of high schoolers are still young and a bit of immature. Even, I, a college student thinks of myself as immature still. Then they suddenly got isekai-ed to another world as a baby, confused af on what is going on. Growing up with no father figure + constant bullying NOT ONLY from their mother BUT also from the maids, in short every one from the palace (I meant the palace where they stayed for 5 years) then they get dragged inside the imperial palace meeting their so-called father and brothers which by the way did not try even the slightest to get in contact with them just because they did not see them. Plus they were told not to tell their father that they were abused when they were young because it will decrease their worth as royals. Bruh that's like saying "men are not allowed to cry because it makes them girly" or "women should just stay at home and work because that's the thing they're good at"
It doesn't matter what they're age at mentally if someone had experience any forms of abuse they will have a hard time recovering. No matter how old they are mentally if they're bodies are of a young ones they would not have a chance of fighting back. BECAUSE THEY'RE YOUNG (physically) plus they died when they're still in high school. Try to be understanding to their father and brothers, then where were they when they needed help? (But they thought were dead) bruh they could've hired some people duhhh.
Ya'll are also forgetting that the reason why we understand the pov of their father and brothers is because WE ARE READERS we can see all of their thoughts meanwhile they are the characters they can only believe what they can hear and witness.
Do you know what kind of betrayal the twins are feeling right now? Just when they're trying to open their hearts and be understanding suddenly they heard they're unwanted and was supposed to be killed. That shit hurts more than everything bruh.
The wounds may heal physically but wounds from abuse will always stay in your head.
One thing I agree about some of the comments are about Arjen. I kind of wanna see more of him. I mean yea we can hear his opinions when Arien asks him but I wanna see his thoughts that he doesn't tell Arien. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm
