Just read this for the first time. Not bad but I find it kinda creepy how the uke was so into the seme from the beginning. He is quite pitiful.

it is kind of strange. it's kind of like how some people spend so much money on their faves on onlyfans. it's quite pathetic and lowkey creepy.

I know a lot of people who are spending money for their faves and that doesn't make them pathetic and creepy at all its their way of surviving this world, its what makes them happy so you calling people like them pathetic and creepy doesn't really sit well with me. I respect your opinion but try to respect other people's happiness.

spending money on people on onlyfans being your "way of surviving this world" is indeed pathetic. i am just calling it is what it is. does it make them happy? sure. is it still pathetic nonetheless? also yes. why they have to be mutually exclusive?
whether you want to admit it or not, what dg does during the first half of the story is indeed borderline creepy behaviour, it made it difficult for me to sympathize with him throughout the manhwa.

That means you didn't really understand the webtoon at all. And that's fine. You just don't have the emotional capacity to sympathize with other people that you don't understand. There's nothing wrong with that. Does it make you judgmental? Yes, but that's you being human and it's only human to feel superiority over others for going beneath your perceived right and wrong.

That said, DG's a closeted gay person. In Korea. These kind of broadcasts is very common in the gay community in Korea because it allows them to indulge in their fantasies and explore their sexuality without being judged and shunned by Korea's very conservative and image-centric society. More than that, the trauma DG went through in high school for being forcibly outed by the friends he trusted, and being made an outcast the rest of his teenage years made him reclusive. His form of escape and expression, his safe place, is online. BJ Alex was a gay broadcast jokey who tells his audience of his sexcapades while doing performative sexual acts on stream. It's understandable that DG, in his position of vulnerability and isolation, would find solace in Alex's adventurous stories and partake in watching his streams for the sexual acts. That's just how people are. That's not pathetic, it's called surviving. And that might seem pathetic to you, but that's the reality for many gay people all over the world having to hide their sexuality in a conservative society. And being offered a chance to be sex partners with your idol, it's only natural that DG would be smitten. This is why the growth of DG's character halfway through the story was important. When DG realized he was putting his own happiness on the line chasing after a relationship that can never be - he walked away from it even when it hurt him deeply.

Anyway, you are entitled to your own opinion and you're not obligated to sympathize with a character just for the sake of it.

hm, it's pretty interesting to see a more in depth analysis of dg's character. you are right though, i am not a very sensitive person when it comes to things like this, so it's more difficult to try and sympathize with him.
