the mother is a surrogate^^ she has no personal relationship with any of the characters (as far as we're concerned) so i don't think she'll pop up anymore. basically, yi yun wanted a biological child so he got a surrogate, but while that was happening, the other guy (forget his name oops) also wanted a child because of some weird family politics i think so he decided to switch his sperm with yi yun's and keep yi yun's sperm stored. biologically, rourou is brown hair's child but brown hair had yi yun raise him while he watched over them. now he's come back to "claim" his child (even though he wouldn't have any legal right to do that lmao) it's a little confusing lol hopefully it'll be explained a bit more in the story
