yeah but what happened between them that made him abandon his link. Obviously they had to have some sort of good relationship before? He could probably drink from random humans but something made them become links.
Or not. They could have had a bad relationship and for the vampire to get revenge without killing the human he made him his link to torture him by not ever drinking his blood making him have agonizing pain
i guess? but i cant see a situation where the vampire would want to make the human live for eternity instead of just killing him. if there was someone I hated more than anything, I wouldn't want them to be around me for the rest of our lives. also doesn't that mean he can't link with the person he truly wants to be with? now he can't spend forever with someone he loves. instead, he created an eternity of suffering, essentially
