Yasss, I never thought of it as disgusting, after all there are many worse people out there who are into the worst things (pedophilia, rape and necrophilia) so the fact that most yaois contain it never bothered me because I knew it wasn't real....

I was 13, close to 14, when I first watched sekaiichi hatsukoi and eventually went searching for the manga. I'm 20 in December and I'm still a big fan. I've even bought some of the physical copies so that I can support the authors even a little bit.
Plus, I can see why you were easily confused, some of these yaois do have very feminit(?) bottoms. Not that I have an issue with them.
