The emperor's love interest is the guy who was dressed dark blue(purple?> robes. He wore an ornament with a moon around his head. His name is duan bai yue and his little brother was the one who disguised himself as a female in the brothel to get some information. He is also called the xi nan king. Yes there are more than one gay couples in the novel but they are also connected to other novels by the other. The guy who saved the emperor just now is ye jin, the emperor's half brother who left the imperial palace because he did not want to participate in the power struggles and (kinda a spoiler) later in the story he too gets married to a guy (the older brother of the protagonist in the author's other book). Rn he did not want to reveal his Identity to the emperor but had no choice since his life was in danger.
As for the seme in the emperor and xi nan king couple.....it's the xi nan king, duan bai Yue.

Hi, I am not very sure since it has been a long time but it must be chapter 51 if I can trust my memory. Also about the doctor's story, all I know is that he gets together with the older brother of the mc in Everywhere in Jianghu is Wonderful, I think their story too occurs in the novel EIJIW. I have read only a few chapters in that one and just happened to come across the spoiler abt the doctor's love interest
