I mean this is even a trope in shoujo... except there it's more like "you're too good for me, find someone else that's better for you" ╮(￣▽￣)╭ insert girl trying to prove that her love is true regardless of how different they might be.
Watch this be another "I like YOU, but YOU must be CONFUSED for some reason and should date a girl instead of me" moments . . . I've read too much manga.
