I can't believe there are still writers who follow old yaoi tropes these days, I thought we were past the "I'm raping you because I love you" thing. I'm trying to understand the writer's reasoning for this, is it for shock value? Is it a plot device to help us understand something later on? I can't bring myself to believing that they thought a guy being raped and humiliated repeatedly would be hot enough to stand on its own. Shame.
