I remember reading a spoiler and it was like he figured that eland was used and was going to be killed by Veronica so that’s why he said that, but man to say that after someone gives birth at least explain why you said what you said
He said it to protect her but it was all in vain because she still got killed before he can save her so sad... but they will get their happy ending in this second life :3/
