More spoilers that aren't posted yet:
Ikuro also wants to divorce Sachiko. But apparently it's revealed in a later chapter that Sachiko hasn't actually filed the divorce papers yet.
Iida Yukinari will help Ranzo and Ikuro after the fire. Oh yeah, they get new hairstyles, too.
Currently the series is up to Chapter 24 in Japan (but it's being serialized in a magazine). I'll try to see if I can get my hands on them, but I did see some Japanese spoilers and apparently things will get messier, from briberies to more messed up family stuff being revealed.
P.S.
Oh and Norihiko is alive even after the fire. #-.-)
With most of the promotional material having the two, unfortunately it's highly likely(unless one of them die). The story is still ongoing so let's see how the story plays out in general. IMO I want a happy ending, but I'm also prepared for the "tragedy" tag to kick in.
Still debating on purchasing the serialized magazines so I can get the recent chapters, or if I should wait it out in book form.
Honestly going with the route of "this is all just a performance" is the way to go since it's kinda canon. Thanks to the mangaka for making that a thing at least. https://twitter.com/fromRED_ed/status/1276062578599514113
read the raws but can't read the language but, spoilers below...
Listed just major events to simplify it.
1. The caretaker attacks the wife in a mask, though she's thankfully saved.
2. Butler has the other caretaker rape the MC.
3. The disabled brother saves his brother from fire in the house, runs away carrying him. The butler kinda has a moment of realization and just lets it happen as the fire forms a barrier between them. The butler is last seen stuck in the room as its engulfed in flames as the MC screams out for him while reluctantly being carried away by his half brother.
So my take away from all this is that, either the MC became suicidal towards the end, setting that damn room on fire and accepting the twisted love the butler had for him (they have sex as the room is partly on fire). But was saved by his brother in the end. Ironically the disabled brother saved him from the very barred room he was confined to all those years.
Either the butler realized he was wrong in the end (or that it was just futile to keep the siblings apart) and let them leave, or he couldn't because of the fire. But idk, he's either dead now or badly burned at the very least.
Note: The MC doesn'
