seinen=for older boys, may contain mature contents that may be unsuitable for younger audience
shonen=for younger boys
josei=for older girls, may contain mature contents that maybe unsuitable for younger audience
shoujo=for younger girls
yaoi=boys love, with explicit mature contents, can be smutty but not necessarily have to be so
shounen-ai=boys love, without explicit contents
isekai=transported into a different fantasy world, like in games, books, etc.
and many many more...
so theres shonen and seinen, shonen is intended for a younger age group (12-18) and seinen is intended for an older age group (20-25) and has more psychological scenes and stuff. Isekai means "different world" or "other world" in Japanese and is basically about like a regular person from earth being transported or reborn into a different or alternative universe. (most of this info is off google)
what does seinen mean, im really confused by all the genres like issekai or stuff like that
