Your probably reading the panels of the manga but not the manga it self. Your not thinking of the characters their personalities how they feel and everything surrounding the story. Your probably just reading it to see what its all about

What does that even mean. If you’re reading a manga/manhwa, you’re reading it to understand the story. And to understand the story, you have to understand the characters and their feelings. Or else you wouldn’t be reading at all cause nothing would make sense. If I just wanted to “see what it’s about” I would have just read the synopsis and left. You don’t read an entire book to ‘see what it’s about’. It’s seriously not that special.

I dont think you get what I am saying. You may have read the entire book and deemed it as not only "seeing what is was about". However, thats just what it seems to me. You said you paid attention to characters and their feelings but have you not realized how much they loved each other despite their mental state. They depended on each other soo much. They knew they loved each other and needed each other but kept denying it because they have never loved anyone in their entire lives their were only treated with hate and abuse so being loved by another was something new for them so thats why they never really came across to each other as they wanted to. Have you realized that Oh Sangwoo actually fell in love with his mother intimately but made Bum replace his mother but end up falling love with Bun so he got confused and often mixed up both of the characters thinking one was like the other. Did you realized that Bum loved Oh Sangwoo from the start but kindah draw back due to his killings but came to love him again but the reason why he did not stab the police was not because he wanted Oh Sangwoo to go to jail. He wanted Oh Sangwoo to stop killing so they could go back to the days when it was normal. Did you realized that not only Oh Sangwoo had a mental diorder but Bum as well. People ight be saying its just the shock of death that made him hallucinate thinking Oh Sangwoo was there, that was not the case if you read careful youw ould realize that Bum had a mental illness that made him hallucinate throughout the webtoon scenarios that never happened which made him think Oh Sangwoo was there. There is so much more to say but if I have said al this and you still have not seen how they come to love each other knowing each other is sick but depended on each other regardless and could not live without the other. If you still say its not the hype, then in my opinion you never really read the book

Facts they really are. If I existed in that universe I would not mind being killed by Oh Sangwoo (▰˘◡˘▰)

God you make KS sound like a romance and it’s sick and disgusting. Sangwoo didn’t love Bum, he loved how easy it was to manipulate Bum. He was sexually attracted to his mother and Bum reminded him of her so he took advantage of Bums feelings for him and began an intimate relationship. Bum was the one person Sangwoo could manipulate and abuse and still have them maintain their feelings for him.
Sangwoo didn’t love Bum as Bum. He loved Bum as a surrogate for his mother. He loved affection that Bum gave him that reminded him of HIS MOTHER. That, in itself, is manipulating Bum into thinking Sangwoo really loves HIM. He doesn’t love him, he loves the part of him that reminds him of his mother.
God, Koogi even said that Sangwoo is fucking straight and here you are saying he fell in love with Bum. They’re relationship isn’t anything to look at and go “oh that’s romantic” you’re supposed to look at it and go “oh that’s fucked up both of these people need to stay the fuck away from each other and be put into psyche wards.”
Also the ending is supposed to be symbolic. In the beginning he began unknowingly chasing a monster and ended up paying the price of becoming his toy. In the end, he’s stuck chasing the illusion of that same monster and dies as a result.
It seems like YOU weren’t the one paying attention to the story.

And don’t you understand that their mental instability is exactly WHY you cannot view this as love?
Did we even read the same book? Bum was being mistreated by his uncle. It’s only natural this would effect his mental state. Having not have been treated well by a relative and then being shown affection by Sangwoo despite all the fucked up shit Sangwoo was doing to Bum created what is called a Trauma Bond. In which a victim will gain an unhealthy attachment to their abuser.

Okay first of all. WE did read the same books we just have different perspectives of the same book. I understand where you said that Sangwoo saw Bum a relief of his sexual affection for his mother. And that Sangwoo was toying with Bum's feelings. Actually this is my second time reading this book so there are alot of things I saw in the story now that I did not see then. I think Sangwoo and Bum loved each other and let me tell you why. In the first part of the book it was due to Bum's obsession with Sangwoo the reason why they met. It was the fact that Bum said he liked Sangwoo the reason why he did not die. When Bum realized the Sangwoo was the killer he was he was afraid of him, afraid that he would be next. But when Sangwoo started to view Bum as his mother thats when he started to treat Bum with a little bit of care. I believe that Sangwoo did not believe that Bum loved him until the time when Bum jerked off in front of Sangwoo and he said "I wish you and I could mix like this" After that he started to treat him with care and started to not let him sleep in the basement but in the room with him. I felt that then Sangwoo still viewed it as how he wanted to be with his mother. I would say Sangwoo did not realized he like Bum. Its not that he did not love I think its because at first hand he treated him with love towards his mother not realized that he actually started to like Bum. If you look back at sometime when he is talking to him, he says things to him that he wanted to say to Bum but had the picture of his Mom in mind. I think his mind actually caught up to it when they were having sex on the table and he started to reminisce on his Mom and recalled when his Mom tried to have sex with him and end up calling out her name but then realized he was having sex with Bum he started to get frustrated as he was saying he was enjoying it but I think he was confused as to who to give his love to his Mom or Bum? Due to the fact that he loved both of them. Also you can see at the end of the book when e repeatedly called out Bum's name would an abuse who is on his death bed call out someone's name repeatedly like that. I believe he loved him but was too late to come to terms with it. Secondly, you said that Koogi said that Sangwoo was straight but that has nothing to do with the fact that he sucked Bum off. You see that he was hesitant but did it later down when they were behaving like a normal couple. So loving someone can allow you to do things for them that you dont normally do. Back when Bum asked him to suck him off he got up in the night and vomited. Did he vomit when he finished sucking Bum in the chapter later down NO!. Not because the author says he is straight means that may not have a double meaning. The fact that they are both mental unstable and that they can allow each other to find peace in the other is okay. What about in the chapter when Sangwoo killed Bum's uncle did you recall how they behaved when they were apart. It actually wasn't a Trauma Bond the love was there from before Bum just accepted him for his additional character. The fact that they found somewhat peace with each other is beautiful never said it was romantic nothing about the book is suppose to be romantic I just meant that it was extremely beautiful. Thank you

Yeah and I’m telling you the love WASNT mutual because Sangwoo saw bum as a surrogate for his mother. Bum did love Sangwoo. He was just unaware of his true character. The second he began to maintain those feelings for Sangwoo after having his legs broken by him, even facing mental and physical abuse by him, it became a trauma bond. It’s not cute for a victim to be in love with their abuser it’s due to Bums mental instability that he was unable to recognize his relationship with Sangwoo was 100% inappropriate and was plain abuse through and through. Because Sangwoo had seemed to showed him affection quite a few times, Bum became attached despite the abuse he faced from Sangwoo because he wasn’t used to feeling affection from another due to his abusive uncle.

Honestly I get what your saying and I can see what your saying but I just view that way. I think they loved each other, not saying I did not see the abuse side of it. I just view it a different way. We are conversing like this saying are opinions I heard what you have to say and you heard what I had to say. Do really still dont see the hype look at the contrasting side of the story that cannot only be grasped from one read but two reads or even more. Look at how well thought out the story was that you had to sit down and think about all sides of the story in order to decipher the real message. I think its not overrated or underrated either I think its just fine. Thanks for letting me know your opinions. Nice conversing with yah(▰˘◡˘▰)
