Well this is the yaoi-verse, where rape only exists if the author explicitly says that it does... If you apply western thinking morals to this genre you're going to have to skip reading about 80% of it unfortunately...

Yaoi might be the "cool and popular forbidden thing" to you, but if this kind of scenario bothers you, yaoi is not for you. Don't sweat it though, yaoi isn't for everyone. I'm sure you can find another cool and popular forbidden thing, like maybe drugs or sex or drift racing or some shit. Just find what works for you.
I know rape is a common trope in yaoi and to a certain extent I’ve sort of gotten used to it, but at least once I’d like the uke to say, “well you did have a chance with me because I was totally falling for you until you you raped me you asshat!”
Uh what? If they dislike rape in yaoi that doesn’t automatically mean yaoi isn’t for them. There is plenty of yaoi mangas that doesn’t include rape that they can read. Same thing if people dislike sex scene or is too young to read sex scene in a manga. Shoujo, shoujo-ai, shounen-ai. Good alternative for people who don’t wanna read sex scene in a manga. That doesn’t mean they have to give up on yaoi, yuri, romance, whatever just because they encounter a few mangas on a scenario they dislike.
From what I have read till now from this author, those were cute, romantic stories. I was expecting something similar from this,
but for the second chapter that there is rape and in the third there is attempted rape and the guys just overlook the fact, that it is smth horrible baffles me.
