Nope, she was a countess goin to visit a viscountess ( I checked bk when I was writing this cus I wasn’t sure myself LOL). It was the first thought I had when I saw the duchess’ face right after XD and like u I thought the same thing but I thought it would’ve been much earlier when Alphonse bought the cafe cus they wouldn’t let his wife in.
