UGHHH, the way ghislan just showed up then tried to monopolize cecilia even though she already has a fianceé is by far the most cringe thing i've read. and the whole "im gonna change my fate by avoiding the ML" is fucking annoying too. why can't they just try to love the ML by being themselves rather than portraying the villainess in the game they saw which had a shitty personality which lead to their death in the game. it's like they have no common sense at all

i mean to be faaaair, they should've guessed by now that the reason why they died by that person's hand in the first place is because the OG person in which they transmigrated in has one shitty personality, that's why they deserved to be called villainess in the first place ╮(￣▽￣)╭ if u follow the tropes, once the transmigrates act the way they usually do unlike the previous person did, then the male lead will fall in love with them (⌒▽⌒)
But it also depends on when you are transmigrated. For example, in “8’ve Become the Villainess Emperor in a Novel”, she had 3 days until the character she transmigrated into was supposed to die. That’s not a lot of time to do a 360 on the character’s personality. And if she just suddenly acted the polar opposite of the character she’s portraying’s personality, people would get suspicious and potentially kill her even sooner for being an imposter. And let’s be honest here, much like how you would not behave like how the character you transmigrated into was supposed to behave; there’s no guarantee that the characters your interacting with will behave the way they were portrayed in the novel/game you encountered them in. So to not take certain precautions would be foolish.
well yeah there are times wherein the situation calls for such precautions, however if we're talking about THIS specific manga, then it's different. she deadass changed on the spot when she was transmigrated, plus there was a lot of time before her supposed "death flag" there are many instances wherein the trope is overused and like the OP says, it's somewhat "meh" after reading SOOO many villainess reincarnation stories. and this one is truly cringeworthy compared to the other ones

Criiiiiiinge so typical, I've read 100s of these mangas with the same plot. I liked it before...but now mhmmmmm
