Reading the novel I just find out a lil that when he was telling max that a knight (it's Riftan who is the knight but he is telling max it's someone else)was curious about the rumours first daughter coz no one had ever seen her unlike her sister, so the knight sneaked in the castle coz he couldn't hold back his curiosity and wanted to see that mystery 1st daughter. When he saw a girl sitting in the garden petting the playful cat, it was love at first sight but max was like," he must be disappointed and wasted his time to see me who is a no beauty" but than he is like "I dont think so, ur lovely enough"

Maybe he was the dog that she hugged when she needed someone to love her as a kid? thats why hes so whipped by her?? if thats true ill be passing away LOL anywaysss, usually i dont like such weak characters, but i think im okay with her because of the trauma she endured as a child. the guy curses a bit too much tho (￣∇￣") but he hot so ig it oke. im excited to see how they develop romantically ( and sexually as well heheh)
