It does! And Mia isn't a homewrecker in it. She's actually the Emperor's wingman and gives him tips on how to express his feelings. She realizes Leana is trying to push her towards the emperor and asks Leana to stop and to look at the emperor properly. She and Leana are good friends. Mia is still the Saint but she spends time learning to use her magic and travelling around helping people.
It was actually funny reading some of the comments here wondering why Leana married the Emperor, because when Leana tells Mia about the original story and how her character is killed by the emperor in it Mia is also like !?!?! Wtf why would you marry him knowing that.
Demn now i gotta read the novel.
It's sad tho that some adaptations sometimes go on another path especially when the novel is good. I understand why you would like to drop this.

I have to drop this. I just hate so much what they've done to the characters in the name of creating "drama", especially Mia. She was my second favorite character in the novel and they've just totally ruined her here.
