I think you misunderstood the situation julian isnt pretending to be his sister out of his own choice, his mother went crazy when her daughter died and saw julian as angelina and from then he was forced to be angelina for his crazy mothers sake.

and im not puting down the mother I feel for her as well, losing a child is never easy especially in her case when she was already stressing over one sickly child.

Actually the mom only saw him as angelina at first because she was still a bit sick but the dad said pretend to be her so the fam could be happy. The dad is in the wrong. The mom is a bit too, but the dad is definitely the worst cuz if they would've cleared it up when she was sick, the misunderstanding never would've continued
Huhh?? I thought that it was because the mother paid too much attention to Julien which is why she felt extremely guilty for Angelina’s death and that’s why she went coo coo and believed that Julien was Angelina??
Well, you are right. She is feeling guilty since she focused more on Julian being very sickly. Angelina was very understanding and she grew up without much supervision from her mom and the staff since they were focused on Julian. But the other points people raised above are all true too. When she woke up after the shock, she saw Angelina rather than Julian. It was her coping mechanism for her grief and guilt.
Am i the only one that gets his mother... I mean imagine losing your child and someone is pretending to be that child and you found out that it was not her.. i whould go insane too
AND SHE KNEW deep in her heart that, "Angelina" is julian.. she just wont accept it.
