I agree with you, but if she didn’t throw her in jail then the bitch would’ve made sure there was no evidence leading to her and would likely conspire with people to help her out. With the bitch being in the dungeon she doesn’t have access to people or things to help her get out. Like in the beginning chapters she ordered all the doctors to be killed and no one questioned anything. She has power and money so no one will question her... ( ̄へ ̄)
But like, she could have imprisioned her in her room or something, the way she just arrived and accused was kinda rushed, especially since the high nobility was all there. Tho yeah, the way it was done, probably prevented her from destroying evidence (that talk with the maid was still weird, tho, maybe she already did) and also made sure to raise the noble's guards against Rose, maybe even made her spies/allies anxious
She would have still found ways to destroy the evidence, I mean she will need food to eat and they will assign someone to help her because she is still a noble, so even if she was imprisoned in her room, she would have still found a way, so throwing her in jail prevents people room making contact with her unless she had an ally in the guards or knight, plus that minister can’t really do much because she was thrown in jail but if she was imprisoned in her room, he can very well make contact with her she help her destroy she evidence, so fueling her in jail was the best bet but yeah, something smells fishy and I don’t like it

Correct. Rose is cool as a cucumber in jail because she knows Rizi has nothing on her. She knows she erased all evidence. And before she was imprisoned she sent a letter to Duke Ephreney, reminding him if he must help her or she'll reveal his secret. (Side note: Rose blackmailed Ephreney and that's why she was able to meet Lucio despite being a low born noble).
Lucio does wake up, but the only thing g he does is beg ONCE Rizi not to kill Rose. He does not stop her. Rizi tells Lucio multiple times that she will kill Rose. Lucio, knowing Rose was in the wrong, is silent. Rizi fabricates evidence bc she couldn't find real evidence. Rizi is about to sentence Rose to a beheading but Duke Ephreney presents his own false evidence. This muddled the case so Lucio has a third party, Duke Vasi, investigate. Its found both Rizi and Ephreney lied. The case was thrown out. While Rose wasn't beheaded, Lucio took away her baroness title and she became a commoner.
Oh! Thanks for the spoilers, I actually like this outcome a lot. If it all went ricy/rizy(?)'s way I would find it fishy, since the whole situation was rushed.
Also, the author introduced the duke's drama really well then, since I was finding his atmosphere really suspicious. I'm looking foward to the next chapters!
Yeah, but there was one guy (the one whom she asked about the punishment of Rose's crimes and who seemed to want to talk, but hesitated during the Prime Ministers meeting) that seemed especially suspiscious.
But about the other nobles, yeah, there could be hesitation. But honestly, if I was a noble I would plot to kill her before he wakes up and push the blame on the opposition, but that's me fidsnfoidasnfoidsafniods
I like where this is going, but i feel like she was a bit reckless in accusing and throwing the bitch in the dungeons the minute she assumed authority, even more so since she doesn't have proof...
I feel like something's gonna go wrong, especially since there was that weird conversation between Rose and her maid before she realised the emperor was missing too.
And also, that Prime Minister guy who was hesitant to say the punishment for the crime, as well as during the meeting, it looked like he wanted to say something but was nervous/scared...
