Seungho’s character is executed so well... One of the main points of his character is that he’s cruel, misunderstood, and misjudged so much that all of his actions are questionable in both the manhwa and in real life. Every move he makes people believe there has to be some negative movement behind it. Like him protecting Namkyum is the only way he knows, hiding him from the people and things that will very well hurt him, is portrayed as him being cruel, unfair and hurtful to Namkyum... This is all Seungho knows, and when he realizes that he’s hurt Namkyum instead of caring for him, he creates a rift between them. There’s been so many moments when he’s made himself vulnerable in front of Namkyum and treasured him (in his own Seungho way) till EVERYONE notices and that’s why we see all of this “Why him” , “Why a lowborn”, they know that his intentions are much more than making Namkyum a concubine.
