Where was this teacher when I was in high school??
I had to learn about those cheets (beflapjes as we would call them in my language) by reading lady magazines... The only thing we learned in our sex ed classes (we got it twice, once while we were 12 and once while we were 17) was how babies are made (first time) and what contraceptives are (when we were 17, and the textbook was old and only included regular condoms and the pill). Not once was the possibility of homosexual sex even talked about. And I live in a country where gay marriage has been allowed since 2003 or something.
